Initial ideas and planning.
Where my idea came from: I work at the Gibraltar Rock restaurant in Tynemouth, Newcastle. It sits right next to the coast and has many different people walk through the door. Many people from the far southern end of the country always talk about how the coast and the north east in general is way more photogenic and better than what they had envisioned. I have also had 'proper geordie lads' come in and talk about how they believe we live in the best part of the UK. Therefore I decided to make my documentary on the beauty of the north east and finish off in Sunderland. My first rough ideas: For my first ideas I just wrote down ideas when they came to my head in my notes. This consisted of: Football, Greggs, reality vs expectation, Bambrough, alnwick, Beaches. I then refined these ideas into a storyline. In order for me to be the cameraman and to be able to talk to camera I have chosen to make it a expository documentary.
